Signing In
How to create your Marketcroft account and sign in for the first time — step by step, with no experience needed.

Do this on the phone you plan to use
This is important: complete these steps on the phone you plan to use the Marketcroft app with every day. The app connects to the specific phone it is set up on. If you sign in on one phone and later switch to a different phone, you can always sign in again on the new one — nothing is lost — but you do need to sign in on each device separately.

Open the Marketcroft app
Find the Marketcroft app on your phone's home screen — it looks like a small icon with the Marketcroft logo. Tap it once (press it lightly with your finger and let go). The app will open and show you a welcome screen with buttons to sign in. If you haven't installed the app yet, ask a family member to help you find it in the App Store.

Choose how you'd like to sign in
You'll see a few buttons on the screen. If you have an iPhone, tap 'Continue with Apple' — this uses the Apple account that's already connected to your phone (the same one you use for the App Store). If you use Gmail, tap 'Continue with Google.' These use an account you likely already have, so there's nothing new to create or remember. You can also tap 'Sign in with Email' if you'd prefer to use a different email address and create a new password.

Confirm it's you
After you tap one of those buttons, your phone may ask you to confirm your identity. This might be a face scan (your phone looks at your face), a fingerprint scan (you press your finger on a button), or a prompt to enter a PIN or your Apple ID password. This is completely normal — your phone is just making sure it's really you. Follow whatever prompt appears until you see a checkmark or a message saying you're signed in.

You're in
Once signed in, the app will take you to the Home screen. You'll see a row of small icons along the very bottom of the screen — these are your tabs, and you use them to move around the app. If the screen looks a little different from what you expected, don't worry. Look for those icons at the bottom and you'll find your way around.
