Customizing Your Store

How to add your photos, write your story, set your hours, and choose tags — so your store looks its best when customers find you.

  1. 1

    Get to Manage Store

Tap 'My Stuff' at the bottom of the screen. You'll see your store listed there — tap on it once. A screen will appear with some information about your store. Look for a button that says 'Manage Store' and tap it. This takes you to the main screen where you control how your store looks and what customers see.

  2. 2

Add a banner photo — the big photo at the top

Near the top of the Manage Store screen, you'll see a large rectangular area — this is where your banner photo goes. It's the first thing customers see when they open your store page. Tap that area. Your phone will ask whether you'd like to take a new photo with your camera or choose a photo you've already taken. Either works. A photo of the inside of your store, a display of your products, or anything that captures the feel of your space works great here. Wide photos (held sideways, like a landscape) look best in this spot.

  3. 3

Add a logo — the small circular photo

Look for a smaller circular image area, usually overlapping the banner. This is your store's logo or brand image — it appears on map pins, in search results, and on your store page header. Tap the circle and choose a photo the same way you did for the banner. Even a simple photo of your storefront sign works well. This small image gets shown a lot, so pick something that's easy to recognize even at a small size.

  4. 4

    Write about your store

Find the section labeled 'Bio,' 'About,' or 'Description' and tap inside it. Your keyboard will appear. Write a few sentences about who you are, what you sell, and what makes your store worth visiting. Customers read this before deciding whether to come in, so honest and personal works better than anything formal. Two or three real sentences is plenty to start — you can always update it later.

  5. 5

    Set your hours

Find the section labeled 'Hours' and tap it. You'll see each day of the week listed — Monday through Sunday. For each day you're open, tap that day and set what time you open and what time you close. For days when you're closed, look for a 'Closed' toggle and make sure it's switched on for those days. Getting your hours right matters: customers can filter the map to show only stores that are currently open, and if your hours are wrong you might be hidden even when your doors are open.

  6. 6

    Choose tags

Tags are short words that describe what your store sells — things like 'Gifts,' 'Handmade,' 'Vintage,' 'Art,' 'Books,' or 'Plants.' Find the Tags section and tap it. You'll see a list of options. Tap the ones that honestly describe your store to select them — they'll highlight or get a checkmark. Pick somewhere between 3 and 6. Fewer accurate tags are better than many that don't quite fit, because tags are how customers filter by type.

  7. 7

Preview your store as a customer would see it

When you've made your updates, look for a button that says 'View Store' or 'Preview' and tap it. This shows you your store page exactly as a customer would see it. Check that your photo looks right, your bio reads the way you want, and your hours are correct. You can go back into Manage Store and change anything at any time.
